Custom Cryopreservation Services for Miniaturized Cell Cultures

Spot Cells LLC provides a specialized, custom service for the dissection and cryopreservation of brain tissue to generate primary neuronal and glial cultures from your transgenic mouse lines. Using animals provided by the customer, we generate high-yield cryopreserved preparations ready for immediate use or long-term storage in liquid nitrogen.

• Maximized Output: From just one pregnant mouse (averaging 7 fetuses), we can produce at least 20 cryovials of frozen cells.

• High Yield Per Vial: A single cryovial can be thawed on your exact schedule to generate at least 25 miniaturized cell cultures.

• Anatomical Specificity: We offer targeted preparations from various brain regions, including the cortex, hippocampus, striatum, and ventral mesencephalon.

• Perfectly Matched Controls: For rigorous experimental design, we can process parallel preparations from your appropriate wild-type control animals.

• Unlimited Shelf Life: When stored in liquid nitrogen, the shelf life of these preparations is essentially unlimited.

(Note: This custom service currently applies to mixed-sex preparations and does not include the pre-plated, sex-specific cultures currently under development.)
